Library Tutorials: UpToDate Anywhere

 

Employees can access UpToDate from any internet browser, through Care Connect, or download the app to your mobile device.

Please note that once you create an account with UpToDate, you will receive an email every 90 days asking you to verify that you are still affiliated with RRH.
Your account will be locked if you fail to verify it every 90 days, and you will have to call UpToDate at 1-800-998-6374 to reactivate it.

How do I get to UpToDate?

  • Open your internet browser and navigate to http://www.rrhlibraries.org/.
    On the bottom left, click the link for UpToDate.
  • You can also find a link to UpToDate in CareConnect.
  • If you are off-site, you will be prompted for your RRH login.

How do I download the UpToDate app to my device?

  1. Open your internet browser and navigate to http://www.rrhlibraries.org/.
    On the bottom left, click the link for UpToDate.
  2. In UpToDate, look at the upper right for a link to Register.
    Follow prompts to register for an account.
  3. Once you have created an account, you can download the UpToDate app from your device’s app store.
  4. The app will prompt you to log in with the username and password you created in step 2
  • Be aware: the UpToDate app can be installed on up to two devices.

Help! I can’t log in!

  • You will receive an email every 90 days asking you to verify that you are still affiliated with RRH.
  • If you ignore the email, UpToDate will disable your account and you will have to call 1-800-998-6374 to have it reactivated.

How can I earn CME in UpToDate?

  • Make sure you are logged into your account when using UpToDate. You should see your name and CME credits in the upper right.
  • On a desktop or laptop, click the CME link in the top navigation menu to view your history, redeem CME and more.
  • On a mobile device, access the CME dashboard by clicking on the CME/MOC/State menu item in the hamburger menu on the top right hand side.
  • CME credits are earned automatically when using the UpToDate search feature.
  • To receive a certificate, you must submit your credits for processing.

I already have an UpToDate account. How do I merge my accounts?

  • If you already have an account—whether a personal account or one obtained through a previous employer—you may transfer your existing account to the Rochester Regional Health subscription.
  1. Log in and click on My Account.
  2. In My Account, click the “Consolidate My Accounts” link.
  3. Enter the user name and password for your second account.
  4. Click “Find Account.” UpToDate will then display a page identifying the source and target accounts. The accrued CME/CE/CPD credits for each account will be displayed.
  5. Ensure that the desired accounts are identified as the source and target accounts.
  6. Click “Merge Accounts” and then “Merge” after you have confirmed that the information is correct.
  • Important: UpToDate merges the source account into the target account. Any accrued continuing education credits are now stored in the target account, and the source account is no longer active.
